Huh? Yes, that's right. We realize all too well that it's impossible to be all things to all users at all times. Just can't happen. But just like the world of Commodore computing, Commodore World itself is constantly changing and evolving, trying to bring the beginners up a notch, trying to give the experts a thing or two to do, and hopefully providing everyone with some news and opinions to ponder.
We are one of your best sources of finding out what's available, through articles, reviews, and the largest number of advertisers in any remaining Commodore publication. Should you decide to subscribe to Commodore World, we'll make you this promise: you'll get every issue you pay for. Yes, we're a little more expensive than most print magazines you've seen for the Commodore in the past couple of years. But we don't rely on advertising dollars, and we can keep our publication going even if our numbers dwindle. Your subscription dollars pay for the magazines you get, and you'll get them all.
Okay, enough sales talk--let's get on with a little more about this sample issue. We've put together quite a nice compilation of articles from our first few issues. What's more, we feel it's a good representation of what you'll see in a given issue of Commodore World, both in quantity and quality. There are a few missing elements, of course... our regular issues contain a few more departments like Backtalk (letters and questions from our readers), On The Horizon (news and new product releases), Jim Brain's Trivia (which we assume you can find elsewhere online), and advertisements. We also have a new machine language column coming up, so there were no installments of that to show you. But all-in-all, you should get a good feel of what we're all about from this sample issue.
It's our hope that you'll recognize Commodore World as a good value, and place an order for your own subscription. But if you don't, we still hope you'll enjoy this sample, and continue using your Commodore for years to come.
