Install Flight Simulator II* on your CMD device! |
How could you forget? That's behind us now. Put your 1541 away, preserve your original FS2 disk and install this outstanding software on your CMD FD, HD, or RamLink today.
With a SuperCPU and a RamLink, you can be on the runway ready for takeoff in 2 seconds, and that includes pressing the A and B key to select the operating modes!
The FD drive is the slowest device of the 3 and it will even get you to the runway in only 20 seconds.
The new "FS2 INSTALLER" program is available for free
downloading.
it.
The filename of the program is "FS2.WR3". If by any chance your browser alters the name to "FS2.EXE", be sure to rename it after copying it to a Commodore disk. You'll need Wraptor V3 to dearchive the file. Once done, you'll have the program plus a doc file in PETASCII format.
If you need Wraptor V3, it can be downloaded right here. You'll also want to download the older version of Wraptor since that one includes the documentation.
When you get Flight Simulator up and running on your CMD device, watch for any areas you fly into that cause the error light on your drive to flash. There are 3 or 4 scenery locations that I haven't been able to figure out where they are located. I've flown all over trying to find them, but can't get the error light to flash anymore. If it happens for you, go into the Editor and make a note of the NORTH and EAST locations where you're currently flying and email that information to me, please.

Your Scenery Disks
An installer for your scenery disks is not yet available. This first release will only install the original FS2 program disk. The installation is performed in a native partition on your CMD device. Each individual scenery disk will reside in their own subdirectories. From within the Editor, you'll be able to select the desired scenery subdirectory. Watch this web page for further development for the scenery disks and other updates to the main program.
